The Maze, sown in maize, grows to a height in excess of 8 feet. By Mid July when the Maze officially opens, the maize will already have grown 4-5 feet in height. The crop grows at an astonishing average rate of an inch a day!
The artistically designed labyrinth of pathways and blind alleys extend over 6 acres. Like all maize maze’s the Cairnie Mega Maze will only have a short life before being harvested in October and fed to the cattle.
All agree that the unusual setting and scale, to say nothing of the marvel of the design and nature of the materials will make your visit literally AMAZING!
A Mega Maze ticket holder includes unlimited use of the Funyard which is packed with fun activities. Highlights include the go-cart track and the giant straw bale climbing fortress. There are also trampolines, a massive sand box, swings, slides, a “young farmer’s yard” with ride on peddle tractors, loaders & trailers, an XL bouncing pillow, 30m flying fox and other surpirses. The 4wd ATV Barrel Bug ride is not to be missed!
